    I think the only thing I don’t like about the squatch design is the lack of hard bottom and how is caused the discs to sag. I found some corrugated plastic at work and cut some to fit my lore and it’s been a game changer. I’ll do the same thing when my legend comes.

    • @Viridisk
      @Viridisk  Год назад

      After wearing a Grip bag since the days of 2014, I would still prefer bags without rails. I don't think I've ever seen a hiking backpack with rails on the bottom either. I think the reason for that is bags with rails require a hard plate to attach the rails, which makes it less comfortable when worn.
      But, new disc golf bags are definitely trying to make a soft bottom with minimal sag while still providing protection on the bottom. I believe Berg Sport V4 Ultimate is heading in the right direction with how they design the bottom of their bags if you want to check it out.

      @@ViridiskI wound up going with the legend and just cut some corrugated plastic for support. No more sag and it doesn’t dig into my back.

    I can't wait to see more manufacturers add a similar umbrella sleeve and then have Berg's call them out.

      The other companies have tried, but we have consistently been one step ahead:). We already have a few new projects in the works...👀

    Hey thank for the bags review, I've been watchung them a lot because I'm in the market for a new bag. I use to have a Grip ax5 but end up selling it because the putter bag and the side bags... I'm interested in the berg v4 but are the back straps as thick as the grip ax5?

    • @Viridisk
      @Viridisk  7 месяцев назад

      The straps on the Berg V4 are as thick as the grip bags. They are very much on par with the grip straps, but coupled that with the rest of the bag, it's a overall a more comfortable package than the grip bags.

    Great video, appreciate all the detail! Been on the fence about grabbing a Legend, but the Berg seems a step ahead. Only issue... I see the Berg is listed at $300. Any idea if the initial $220 was an error? Thanks!

    Love it! Thanks for the comparison! How is the stability on the V4 when it's sitting on uneven ground? Do you think the side pockets being suspended above the ground would cause it to be tippy if one side has a heavy water bottle and the other doesn't?

    • @Viridisk
      @Viridisk  Год назад +1

      Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I've intentionally dropped the bag quite a few times during my round today to test the stability of the V4, and it's surprisingly stable! I even had my fully loaded 32oz water bottle on the one side pocket and the bag did not want to tip over. I've also dropped it a few times on the side of a hill and it only wanted to tilt once, but did not fully tipped over. I'm sure if I was in the Rockies, it'd be a different story. :)

    I think i'd trust the phone pocket on the berg sport better. The squatch one always seemed like it worked, just a bit more sketch on the "loose phone" with how it was in there.
    Plus the vertical pocket on the berg sport is gonna support far far far more phones safetly, vs the squatch that's going to support a few phones really well, some phones not at all, and some phones really poorly.
    The berg sport seems like everything the Grip bag should be, but isn't. You got a grip like feel/look to the carry with it being boxier, But all the function of a pound or a squatch.
    The idea that people even use/want grip bags anymore is hilarious.

      After using the phone pocket on the Berg Sport - I'd have to agree with you. I much prefer it over Squatch's phone pocket.
      So far, the Berg Sport does feel like a boxier Grip-Eq with better quality and functionality. Which, I'm really digging. :)
